Additional Information
Handling & Transportation
1. Do not try to handle or balance your cake with one hand. Always pick up the cake from the bottom and secure it to a flat surface on your vehicle.
2. It’s best not to carry your cake on your lap. Putting it on the floor or in a airconditioned trunk is always best.
Please read this information carefully & follow it. ABARCA’S Cakes is not responsible for damages to your cakes due to mishandling or poor client transportation after the cake has been signed for and delivered.
STORAGE & DISPLAY
1. Please store the cake in the refrigerator and follow the instructions above. Do not leave your cake unattended, and in a hot place.
2. Always display your cake in a shaded and cool area. NEVER under the sun. Or outside in the hot summer days, or it will melt.
3. Cakes will last in the fridge for 24-48hrs after purchase. Keep in mind all cakes, treats, and cupcakes are best when consumed the day they are delivered. If you aren’t planning on eating it all right away, remove all decorations & freeze the left overs slices so you can enjoy it later. Simply let it come to room temperature when you are ready to eat it again. Never re-freeze your cakes.
NOTE: Cake Care Instructions will always be provided and included in your order.

Additional Information
Serving & Cutting
1. Your cake will always taste best if consumed the day of delivery.
2. Remove your cake from the refrigerator 1-2 hours before you plan on serving it. This will allow the cake to come to room temperature and regain its moisture.
3. You should always have your cake delivered on the day you plan on consuming it. Storing the cakes for a long period of time in the refrigerator can cause sugar decorations to come apart or collapse.
4. If you have a tiered cake, unstack the cakes using a knife that is inserted under the cake boards and lift up. Remove all decorations before cutting it.
5. Have some hot water and a kitchen cloth available to dip and wipe the knife blade regularly between slices. This will help you get smooth slices.
6. When cutting your cake, follow our cutting guides to ensure you get the proper amount of servings.
We recommend the following portion sizes:
Coffee Portion 1×1: Perfect size for coffee with friends
Event Portion 1×2: Perfect size for weddings, and large corporate events.
Party Portion 2×2: Perfect size for parties like birthdays and showers
7. Your cake may contain inedible decorations. Please remove these before cutting your cake. We will always let you know what decorations are edible vs inedible.
